Vacancy For Deputy Chief Accountant

Integritas HR Ghana Ltd is a dynamic international logistics company seeking to recruit competent, committed, driven and enthusiastic professionals to join their energetic finance team in the capacities of a Deputy Chief Accountant.

Job Summary

• The desired candidate shall be responsible for adequately supporting the Chief Accountant in providing financial, administrative services in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations of the company.

Key Functions:

• Ensuring the company is in compliance with internal and external financial and statutory obligations (Payroll, Taxes, SSNIT etc)
• Preparation of pre-closing and annual financial reports
• Preparation of monthly reports (balance sheet, P&L, analytical entries)
• Recording financial transaction and events in accordance with accepted local accounting principles and standards
• Maintaining accounting and financial software application parameters
• Providing guidance to other Account Officers when required of journal entries
• Cooperating with external auditors when needed
• Assisting the Chief Accountant in the preparation of budgets
• On monthly basis, analyzing the main discrepancies between actual and budget, report to the Chief Accountant and recommend effective resolutions
• Perform financial analysis and reporting to management as needed
• Helping to finalize new business plan for investments
• Assist the Chief Accountant during month-end closing procedures
• Prepare daily cash flow position and analysis

Qualification Required & Experience

• A Bachelors Degree in Accounting & Finance or any related business subject
• A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a similar role
• Experience in the administration of business financial systems and significant supervisory responsibility for professional, paraprofessional and support staff
• Excellent working knowledge of an accounting software and MS office tools with emphasis on Excel

• Excellent oral and written communication skills (including presentation and listening skills)
• High energy level with a positive attitude, integrity, professionalism and strong work ethics
• Good organization skills, keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
• The successful candidate must be a strong, influential, results-oriented professional who can develop and manage relationships across the company and with a wide variety of partners based on trust, teamwork, and knowledge
