Typical responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Oversee and coordinate aspects of strategy, planning, operations, finances and logistics for each event according to requirement, target audience and objectives
Effectively communicate with all stakeholders including staff, teams, vendors and clients to each event.
Prepare and manage budgets and ensure adherence
Source and negotiate with suppliers and vendors ensuring payments are made on time for service delivery
Source and negotiate with potential customers and clientele***
Oversee staging and transportation of supplies, equipment and merchandise for each event; manage and organize inventory.
Supervise interns, assistants and other support staff.
Supervise all staff and vendors at every stage before and during event.
Direct all aspects of event operations from start to finish: travel, shipping/truck-driving, event setup/breakdown, team check-in and management
Oversee facility/venue and crowd management: parking, trash, security, client visitors, and vendors.
Timely Distribute information, rules and policies to vendors; ensure that events run on schedule and that venue rules and policies are strictly enforced.
Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Events & Hospitality, Business Administration, Marketing, or other related fields.
2+ years proven work experience in Event Management, Project Management or related fields.
Strong IT skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office, website management, social and digital promotional/marketing platforms.
Very organized and process-oriented with a high attention to detail; ability to multi-task and be flexible in a fast-paced environment and work as part of a team.
Strong people management skills
Excellent Time management and Organizational skills while maintaining a high level of quality.
Excellent customer service and negotiation skills.
Numerate, good administrative ability and well organised;
Pragmatic approach to problem solving, ability to use initiative.
Knowledge of KPIs and marketing techniques for event management.
