Air Namibia (Pty) Limited, which trades as Air Namibia, is the national airline of Namibia, headquartered in Windhoek. It operates scheduled domestic, regional, and international passenger and cargo services, having its international hub in Windhoek, Hosea Kutako International Airport and a domestic hub at the smaller Windhoek Eros Airport.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
A Maintenance Engineer is needed to
- Maintain all Air Namibia aircraft Embraer fleet.
- Perform troubleshooting on all aircraft in accordance with approved aircraft data.
The Maintenance Engineer will report to the Senior Manager
The Maintenance Engineer will;
• perform on both routine and non-scheduled maintenance and repair of Air Namibia aircraft and its accessories.
•Manage the work area.
•Maintain and retain legal requirements quality as per MMM and DCA requirements.
•Ensure work performance is as per aircraft maintenance and other manuals to comply with required company standards.
•Ensure aircraft safety and availability as per NAMCARS PART 145
•Monitor technical delays
•Technical dispatch reliability
•Issue and approve extensions
•Supervise maintenance of fleet
•Responsible for operation specifications
•Capture maintenance data
•Monitor all maintenance compulsory modifications (AD/CN) and service bulletins.
•Liase with maintenance providers on technical issues.
•Responsible for other tasks assigned by the Head of Maintenance or Crew Chief Line maintenance
- A minimum requirement of Diploma in Aircraft maintenance engineering or equivalent qualification with 5 years technical experience on narrow and wide-body aircraft.
•Computer skills are a prerequisite
•Good command of both written and spoken English
•High analytical and statistical skills
•Must be able to work under pressure
