The service of a Security Supervisor is urgently needed in a Security company to oversees guards who protect private property against theft and vandalism and ensure the safety of people on their employer’s premises.
The supervisor is also responsible for monitoring of the electronic surveillance equipment used on the premises. Security supervisors have to prepare reports for the security agency on the happenings that take place in their workplace.
They have to train all the new security officers regarding all the security protocols of the agency. The supervisor works with staff to develop safety plans for the buildings he monitors.
He leads periodic safety drills for employees and patrons in the business.
- Must have worked for at least 3-years as a Security Supervisor in any organization/company with proven achievements.
- International work experience would be an added advantage.
- Previous service (retiring) from a military force would also be an added advantage.
Good communication skills, both oral and written, are essential for the position of security supervisor so subordinates know how to do their jobs and what to be on the lookout for. Supervisors must have a good working knowledge of management practices and principles so he can efficiently perform his job.
The job requires someone with critical thinking skills who can quickly observe a situation and make the appropriate response.
